Port Jervis, NY – On October 25th, local law firm, Weinstein and Zimmerman, Attorneys at Law, contributed a generous donation to the operation of the Port Jervis Warming Station. Their gift will help the shelter to provide a place for the homeless of Port Jervis during the cold winter months.
The shelter, located in the basement of the Deer Park Reformed Church in Port Jervis, was made possible through the combined efforts of Empowering Port Jervis and the Tri-State Interfaith Council. Aside from the cost of insurance, donations are being accepted to cover the expenses of utilities and toiletries.
Jeffrey Baughman, Tri-State Ecumenical Group representative, expressed his appreciation with the following statement; “It is with our greatest gratitude we send our thanks for your donation to the Port Jervis Warming Station! It is because of your warm hearts others will be able to be comfortable during the harsh winter nights!”
